If you go to, and type in "Soundcraft FX16", the very first result takes you to the Soundcraft website with the FX16 spec page.

In the second paragraph, you get the following information:

FX16's 16 Direct Outs are individually fader pre-post switchable so they are equally useful for recording in the studio or at a gig.

You may want to try this technique yourself. Most manufacturers have all their specs online now.

Thanks a lots but my English is not very well, so I can't understand the swichable mean. I just want to know if I use direct out , is the EQ works?
    Thanks again!

You didn't really answer his question, Joe.

As far as I can tell by checking out the block diagram provided on the website the direct out on this mixer is post EQ regardless of the position of the pre/post fader switch.

So Alyi, to answer more directly, yes. When using the direct output you will have control over the gain(pre-amp) and EQ.

    Thanks trid.
So the answer is Direct Out put + EQ + Gain = works?
    thanks again.
