How do you go about recording drums while simultaneously recording guitar and bass without the drummer's monitor mix bleeding through to the drum mics? Is there a way to do this other than monitoring through headphones?

other than iso booths? no. whatever you can actually hear in the room will come thru in the mics that are "listening" to the rooms. and buy extreme isolation headphones for the smallest amount of bleed.

Yup, good set of closed back headphones e.g beyerdynamic DT770pro (about £80).

(If you're feeling really alternative, a roland V kit with DFH superior drum samples will sort out you're problem, but it might upset the purists/drummers out there!) 8)
