When im recording..... my vocals are not clipping in the analog realm.....but when I see them on my software they are exceed the tracking lanes.......in other words you don't see a sign wave you just see a red square so you can;t see the dynamics. Now on my virtual mixer, the digital wave is not clipping either. So I was just wondering if I should try to lower the signal in so that I can keep the wave within the tracking lanes or is it cool exceeding the lanes?

usually when you hit digital distortion is inmediately noticeable. If you don't hear it, its probably ok- if you still have doubts, just back off a little

Maybe you need to zoom out?
