    Hey all,

    Happy New Year!

    Here's another article you might like to check out....

    I recently recorded a nice vintage Gretsch drum kit from the early 70s for a cover of an old jazz standard. The sound we were after was 'vintage' to match the era of the piece. I used a minimal miking technique, and we were quite pleased with the result. So I wrote it up with some photos and audio - thought some people here might find it interesting....

    Thanks for this Nick. Very cool stuff. I will listen when I have my cans on, but if nothing else this is an interesting read. Imagine changing mic tone by tilting it.
