I've been reading up a bit on the Sebatron VMP-4000e quite a bit lately (I'm considering buying one) and I've come across some reviews that say the input transformers on these units are not as good as they should be. Is this true and if so how much would it cost to upgrade the transformers?

i think that would depend on the type of transformer .it could be up to $100 per channel.it could sound better or worse .
i think mine sounds great as it is.
    i wouldn’t change a thing.

    What reviews might that be?

I agree with BrokenBones......they sound great the way they are.

Sometimes you just have to get past technophobia and listen to things and let your ears be the judge.

    Can't remember off hand.

Problem is I have to buy the unit first before I can hear it. $2000 is a lot of money to me.
