I have a Behringer UB1832FX-PRO mixer and wish to record with my pc. At the moment, I have the main outputs going to my PC, and a surround sound monitoring system in the monitor out. With an acoustic guitar in the line in, the pc picks up the sound, however I cannot make sonar or cooledit detect this sound. I have tried selecting the inputs but still nothing... any advice would be appreciated.

Perhaps you don't have the proper input enabled. When you open up the Sound Control settings...

Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Device Properties -> middle of Volume pane -> Advanced

Go up to Options -> Properties and select "Recording". Hit Ok.

You need to make sure that 'microphone' is selected. That's all I can think of without seeing the machine - sorry!
