I already brought this up in a different post, but I figured I'd try to get a proper solution here. I'm running Sonar 7 on my HP laptop which is farily new, but I keep getting audio dropouts and such. I'm using a M audio firewire 410. I'm a bit overwhelmed because I have no idea where to start looking for the problem. My brother runs the same setup on his Toshiba with no problems, so that narrows the problem, but I am still a bit lost. Thanks

Audio dropouts tend to happen when the processor is overwhelmed. Many things can contribute to this, screensavers, applications running in the background even multiple usb devices could help to generate this kind of environment.

As always, the manual is a good read and Cakewalk does have much support for this and all types of issues you may run into.
