Soundscape AES meeting, NYC

Discussion in 'Computing' started by Neikirk Audio, Dec 5, 2001.

  1. I wanted to take this opportunity to let you all know what
    generally was covered at the show, and to let you know that
    we have plenty more in the works for Soundscape in the coming year.

    First of all, the meeting was largely attended by U.S. dealers, with a few
    international distributors as well. We discussed where the R.Ed product lines
    is moving to in the coming months, as well as to get feedback on details
    of an upgrade program that we are working on, from older systems to R.Ed

    Additionally, we met with many enthusiastic Soundscape users on the show
    floor itself, who pressed us for info regarding our new direction.

    Please consider this the first of many announcements that we will make in this forum;
    I will have more details of interest to you all as soon as they are confirmed.

    In the meantime, please contact me directly with any questions, suggestions,
    or inquiries you may have.

    How about posting some of that info about what's coming for R.ed in the near future?
  3. As I get info I'll be sure to post it ;) The long-awaited "PCI host card" should be available in the next couple of weeks (currently R.Ed uses an ISA card, or a special cable to connect to a printer port that supports EPP mode, in order to get info back and forth to the PC.)
