I got my UK PRS payments this week and one track that generated a few pounds from being used in a live show jumped out at me. A backing track I recorded a few years back which I used in one of my productions, and as I always do, I registered it with PRS, just in case. A popular song from the late 60s, but not a number 1. What jumped out was that the track was used in 2017, and had the exact date and the theatre. I did a little investigation and the track was used as the walk-on music at the top of the show. I can imagine that - the feel is spot on for that kind of stumble on in low light then blam, into the first number with lights up.

The weird thing was the band who were using it were the original band with the original front man. I thin k this is rather neat!
