Hi. Im lookin for something that I can put my rack gear, mixer, laptop and external monitor, a set of monitors, etc on,

I can only find extremely expensive mixing desks. I want something on a budget, that would be good for a small home studio or dorm room, without spending thousands.

    any ideas?

You may want to check on Ebay. I found my desk from a guy who builds them, custom-made. It was only $350 with shipping. Granted, you have to assemble it and it doesn't have the laminate/machined finish of other desks made by the likes of Argosy or Raxxess, but it looks good and functions as it should. It you want to check mine out, take a look at my equipment page here:

I'm not too sure if he's still selling them, but it's worth a look.

    those desks actually look promising.

except, the ones i found on ebay dont have a finish on them, so i would have to finish it myself, but the features and stuff look pretty good, thanks!

does anyone else know of any good desks / furniture for semi cheap?

I found a really heavy corner office desk at a garage sale for $50. I took the corner section out and stuck them end to end (10ft long)

BTW backinthelab, that is a very sweet studio you have there. Its going to take me a long time to get there and with that much gear. Thanks for the look
