Had about an hour to finally get things hooked up and play through the Thorax. Haven't played the bass or vox through it yet but I played guitar through it clean and with a vintage rat driving it.

The sweetest fuzz tones I've ever heard. No square wave harsh - just the feeling of the most kick-ass sweater enveloping you.

Mind you I don't have any other quality pres to compare it to, but as soon as I have my new Lynx L22 hooked up (playing through a digi 001 right now :( ) I can't imagine hearing a better tone.

Hats off to you. I was vacillating between this and a bunch of other pres. After losing out on a couple of ebay bids I decided to take the plunge and I'm happy I did. You need to get these units in the hands of "pro" reviewers. It's a shame I have only 53rd made (tho' it's cool to be in on a secret).

    Hey Thanks Torosaur !

The flexibility of the THORAX will keep you occupied for a long long time.
It should make signals fall nicely into place and mixing a breeze....

Here's a recent email i recieved from well known Nashville Producer Monty Powell ....... he bought a vmp-4000e three years ago .....

'hey....thought i would check in, been so busy the last couple of years it's should know that i have been spreading the Sebatron gospel around Nashville as much as i can...just FYI in the last year artists with a combined total of around
13 million albums sold have all recorded thru my quad that you guys sent me...that includes Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts, Chris Cagle, James Otto, Shannon Brown, Anna Wilson and other major label artists...the pre's still sound great and everyone is impressed when they hear them, i have lent them out a few times to other producers as well. I am building a new room, a tracking facility that will see even more traffic and might want to get some more stuff.......hope all is well...gonna browse the web site now and see what other goodies you have been churning out recenty......peace.....Monty powell '
