I've been a Thomann customer for years - my number one source, as in try them first, and only order elsewhere when they can't help - so I got a shock yesterday. On-line I tried to order some products and at checkout noticed a notice saying delivery delay - so clicked on it, and got informed they have problems and are experiencing 6 day delay on dispatch. Usually goods arrive so quickly, I didn't believe it, so I phoned them, and yes - 6 days is what it is. They apologised but no way they can deliver by the day I need it! No idea what is causing it, and they didn't expand - but just be aware if you never normally even read the notices on the checkout page - it won't be arriving quickly!

For those in the US, Thomann, based in Germany speak English better than we do, are amazing on service AND price and wreck anybody else's attempt to supply goods at good prices over here!

I ordered there several times, and mostly they deliver the next day in the Netherlands. They are polite and helpfull, and often the cheapest in Europe. There are some other megastores in Germany who deliver to Europe mainland and UK: Musicstore Köln, MusikProduktiv in Ippenbüren. And in the Netherlands we have the Bax store...... also good and cheap.

Yes - My experience here in the UK. Order one day, and it's next day, or at worst, the day after - but on the phone they couldn't promise to even dispatch the goods for 6 days - and then there is the transit time. Something very odd has happened to them?

It might be that they are in a dispute with whatever delivery system they use, and is the equivalent to ours here in the US (FedEx, UPS, etc). That's something they wouldn't divulge to customers.
It could also be a dispute within the delivery company too.., perhaps union vs management, maybe a strike? So it may be out of their control.
    Just thinking out loud...

    From the Thomann website:
And then their shipping page says this.

    Sounds self-inflicted to me.

Ya. Could be that, could be a probeml with their shipping computers, maybe they had an unwelcome and unwanted visitor show up on their network.,.or maybe it's just as simple as the guy in charge of shipping just decided to drop everything and go fishing for a few weeks. Lol.

Well they just lost two grands worth of business, but at least were honest enough to tell me it wouldn't arrive by friday. I found as dealer in the same county who were a tiny bit more expensive and it's all coming tomorrow.
