    hello all.

i feel like a dweeb for asking, but all the many methods i've tried for this in the past have given me only limited success:

i'm tracking this weekend a rock band, and the singer / acoustic guitar player will be playing along with the band while we track drums (at least that's my focus.

the question is, how can i get the best vocal and acoustic guitar sound (discreet of course)? i know i can use a tight pattern on my vocal mic, and aim the back of the mic towards the guitar, and i can play around with some pseudo-baffles between lips and the guitar, but that's never given me stellar results.

    any tips and tricks appreciated.

    1. Re-Record all the vocals and Acoustic
    2. Have him strum aong won an electric plugged direct. So you can keep the vocals if you want, and overdub the acoustic.
    3. If he's that amzing of a singer AND player, don't worry about the leakage, worry about the performance.
