I recently saw a live session of Steve Earle/Del McCoury, and was curious as to what type of mic was used? Also, was this the same type of setup used to record "The Mountain" CD?

Hi Daren! I saw them on a PBS show called
Sessions at West 57th" I think. He did most
of the tunes with Del McCoury and his bluegrass band, occasionally making a circuit around the single mic as they played. If we're talking about the same show, it looked to me like an Audio Technica, possibly a 3525. Kinda small. Anyway, I wouldn't swear to it, so please correct me anybody if I'm wrong. Great show, huh?

Steve has a CAD endorsement, and it's the only kind of mic I've seen on the stage during 'Steve Earle and the Dukes' shows...so I'd have to guess it was a CAD of some kind.

If it's not a Soundelux mic it's hard to figure what it could be.......
