  1. Hi there,

first of all.. this is a great site.
I´m a live-sound engineer and do a lot of live recordings as well.

I recently got an old Reverb from a friend of mine for low cost.
An old Ursa Major, which sounds great to me. Very limited in setting up the parameters but up to 6.4 sec of Decay-time in a very good quality.

I hardly find any information about the Ursa.
Is there anyone who has experienced this model and can tell me how he likes it ? Is it true that it is somehow related to the "Quantec" Products ?
    Thanx :)

    Chris

Congratulations on getting a bargain; you probably know that (at least in the US) the Ursa Major products can be a bit expensive.

They were made by folks who left Lexicon, according to what I've heard.

Also, an original engineer has just decided to do a limited re-release in a very slimmed down console-top version, with the promise of the same vintage tone (despite using modern parts....?)

You'll find lots of info on the Ursa products at his site:

  3. Hi Peake,

thanx for the link. I found a manual for may Ursa (not that I desperately needed one, three knobs and a Display :) ..).

Good to know that I´ve got a precious little toy.

    Chris
