Using Firepod with ProTools

    I'm about to buy a mac laptop.

    Is it possible to use a Presonus firepod as the main audio interface with ProTools software? I realize I wont get the onbaord DSP (TDM) that protools hardware would provide, but could I still use the firepod as my main audio IO and use only RTAS plugins?

    Im gunna go ahead and say no, I'm almost positive you have to use an mbox or a digidesign I/O like the digi002 or 003

    PT software will not boot, unless it detects Digidesign hardware.

    I have a Firepod and tried using PT and so far it does not work. If you find a way to do it please let the Firepod users know how. I look forward to use them together.

    ZORO YOU CANNOT USE THEM TOGETHER WITHOUT DIGIDESIGN APPROVED HARDWARE! END OF STORY
