  1. I am looking to buy a new sound module for my production studio. I currently have a motif es8. I was told that the roland xv- 5080 was a great module. Does the 5080 have the same sounds as the xp 60 keyboard? I see that there is the fantom rack, triton racks, roland racks, but dont know which one has the best sounds for hip hop production. Advice please!

if you really need an hardware tone generator for drum sounds and don't want to go mad after tons of parameters to get a GOOD sound, then buy a Roland and live happy.
If you are not sure if hardware is really what you need, then take a look to Drumkit From Hell (http://www.soundsonline.com/sophtml/details.phtml?sku=TT100) , that are produced using also a Roland module. If you look carefully in that site, you will also notice some soundbank created specifically for hip hop.

Get a Roland and throw in a HIP HOP board and a Extreme Dance Board and youll be set. I have a XV5080 and I LOVE it!! I also have a Triton Rack and a Motif Rack but I love my Roland
