Hi all,

I had a go at an old grunge track, doing some guitar and vocal overdubs and doing some intensive Alice In Chains referencing. Here is the result - feedback most welcome:

Here is a link to a music video of the song as well:

PLASTIC FANTASTIC
(Words by Jonathan Linton, Music by Jonathan Linton)
Mankind
Invention
Maligned
Intention
We’re full
Of it
Evil
Plastic

Yeah!
It’s a plastic fantastic world
Yeah!
Need a drastic change
A plastic change

The earth
Can’t take it
Rebirth
Or break it
When you
Buy it
Avoid
Plastic

Yeah!
It’s a plastic fantastic world
Yeah!
Need a drastic change
A plastic change

MONOLOG:
The UN estimates, but 2050, there’ll be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Already it holds 5 trillion plastic particles, dumped across the world.

SOLO

Yeah!
It’s a plastic fantastic world
Yeah!
Need a drastic change
A plastic change
Yeah!
It’s a plastic fantastic world
(A plastic world)
Yeah!
Need a drastic change
(A plastic world)

I might be imagining it, but it seems like the yoytube an soundcloud are audibly a bit different, with SC a little louder and more grainy top end. I like the you tube version better.

I like the subject matter, its a real issue we all face.

I listened to the track a few times. i like hearing the snare rolls playing a featured role. Its not easy to get right. Overall the song is cool and the mix well done.

One thing i keep feeling like id do differently is automate the vocal's echo level up and down a bit, to accent words and phrases either by wetting or drying, and keep things moving around. Maybe you did this already and its just not as pronounced as i imagine it. It could also be the fact that im listening on a phone...

Either way its an interesting track and i enjoy the stabby chords as a nice variation from a typical riff.
