Hey all,

just picked up an S4 off a mate's brother, trouble is it's a US 120v unit.

I do have a transformer that's on it's way to me from my sister but I wondered if using a transformer is going to add any unwanted noise to my setup? All my rack gear is between plastic washers already.

Would it be a better idea to try and get hold of a 9v AC 240v PSU? The only issue is the S4 uses a 4-pin DIN connector and I'm having trouble finding options online!

Any ideas greatly appreciated

Alex :)

You need a 9V AC 2.2A supply. If you are handy with a soldering iron, it's easy enough to fit a 4-pin DIN connector. A transformer should work OK, but it is yet another heavy thing to lug around.

Otherwise, there are several UK suppliers of Alesis P4/S4 supplies:
