Does anyone have any experience with the Audio-Technica M4000S microphone? They have two for $50 on MF. I'm trying to find a pair of good microphones for vocals for live shows, to offer bands for whom I hope to run sound.
One of the bands that I have in mind specifically (some friends) has a screamer. Do I need to look for any specific features in a microphone for a screamer, or is it just more about good mixing?

2/$50 from MF= cheap crap. And I am an A-T fan. These are just too low in quality to hire out to other bands to "impress them enough" to hire you as a sound mixer. Bite the bullet and provide them with SM58s. Or better yet, convince them that that's what they should OWN as their vocal mics...
BTW, a good "screamer mic" (besides a 58 ) is the Audix OM-7.
