What standalone Pre would be a step up from the Tac pre's ?
The pre's in the Tac have made me more then happy but I would like to have some other flavor of pre to choose from.
I would be using the pre mainly for vocals.

I kind of think of the brick as different but not really a step up.

the Fearn stuff is expensive but worth every cent.i tracked a whole album through a VT-2 once and BOY did that thing have a sound.
WHat sort of microphones would you be using for the vocal chain?
