I can go new mb and pci card route but my HP laptop with USB 2.0 seems to run great with the i7 and 8 megs ram.

Have great preamps ..Grace and UA.

I really don't need preamps but seems most USB interfaces all include them. If I go that route I'd prob go the UCX.

Seems like what I need is an ADA with usb output.

I typically am looking at more expensive gear, but a friend has asked my advice regarding a church setup that has a definite budget, and I am here asking advice.

I am planning to record multiple keyboards only!(no guitars/vocals etc)
I just purchased a new A&H Zed60 14FX mixer but Im not pleased with the
USB out 1.1 so I also purchased a Focusrite Scarlett 2i/2 audio interface
for 2.0 USB.
Question 1; Whats the best way to hook up the mixer/interface with my
Lenovo labtop (Intel i5/8GB of ram 2.3Ghz speed)?

I have 2 Focusrite ISA 430 MK1 (the UK buildt ones not the MKII from China) both with Spdif card and someone offer me trading both units for a pair of SSL 6000 E channels boxed with power supply with 521 module for stereo balanced out, these ones:

Up to now, I've been recording (and mixing) straight onto a Teac A3340S R2R and then transferring onto my laptop via an Emu 0404. I'm using Audacity once the music is in my laptop. I know this is far from a professional setup but it works for the type of projects I do.
