Electrical issue: click-noise from when refrigerator starts/stops

Hey all

Whenever the refrigerator in my studio starts/stops (thermostat regulation), it produces a short pop/click noise on the computerspeakers..
I could live with that. But when I'm recording, that sound is recorded too and makes the recording unusable! :frown:

crazy electrical noise

i've just started recording some songs recently. teaching myself to use abelton. so i've got this old sansamp bass DI that i've been trying to record my guitar with. it sounds pretty good until about half way through recording a track, i get this loud electical static noise. i made sure everything was grounded, tried a different guitar, cords and still the loud crackle will happen every time.

isolating electrical noise in monitors

So I've recently noticed that when my monitors are on (with nothing playing/coming out of them) that I have some really bad white noise going on. I'm not certain why I haven't heard it before, but the only thing that I can think of is that my room has recently been treated with various Auralex items as well as some thick curtains, etc. It's basically a lot more quiet and revealing.

Electrical wiring in my control room

So I've been working on constructing my basement home studio (I live in Canada) for a while now, adding layers of gypsum to the underside of the upstairs floor between the joists, backer rodding, caulking, etc. I am at the point where I have added as much mass as I'm prepared to add to the ceiling and sealed everything off to the best of my ability.

monitor noise.. room electrical problem?

Hi all. I just recently purchased a pair of Yamaha hs50m's which I'm using in conjunction with my Focusrite saffire firewire audio interface. To make a long story short I was getting some dreadful noise through the monitors. When I unplug the power supply from my laptop and run from battery power, the noise dissapears completely and my entire system is functional.
