hums & buzzes

Hey all, just got my project studio up and running but am having minor grounding issues. I have everything run into a power conditioner then that to the wall. I am getting a small 60 cycle hum through my monitors. its not loud but audiblle when the room is silent. Also my guitar is getting a buzz only when i fret notes, this is a new phenomina since assembling this new space.

eliminate ground loop hum?

can someone explain how i get rid of the ground loop hum created when i plug my preamp into my interface. i assume this is what i'm experiencing. the preamp is powered by a 2 prong wall wort. the interface is usb bus powered.

i've read that i have to lift the groung from one end of the chain and not the other but i don't know how to do that.

tailor 610 balanced, still have a hum

I have a problem with a hum in my guitar wile recording through the pre-sonus firepod. I have the Taylor expression system (my guitar signal is balanced)but the firepod's power adapter does not have a ground pin. If I touch the firepod with my skin the hum goes away so think this is a ground problem with the fire-pod.

Humming bass pickup

hello

i have a harley-benton hbb500tbk electric bass. it's a cheap one, but it's active and ok for me. the problem is that the one pickup makes a humming noise (like some ground problem), which makes it kinda unusable. i can use the other one, which doesn't make any noise (at least no unwanted) but i like the sound of the other one better (except for the humming of course).
