When to apply noise reduction?

Forums

I have tracked a recording of Bartok's 44 violin duets with a couple of vintage ribbon mics through a Manley tube preamp, while recording the reverb in the hall with a couple of sdc's, and I'm now mixing the album. the result is absolutely gorgeous but needless to say with that setup, I do have quite a bit of noise that I need to do something about. So my questions are these:

Periodic Clicking Noise Removal(fMRI)

I'm currently working on a project in which I'm trying to separate a much louder and rapid periodic clicking tone from a barely audible recording of a voice. I know I'm in need of some high-endsoftware, and I've just started playing around with Izotope's RX in order to get the job done, however, it seems near impossible with the settings I have to work with.

audio restoration help cleaning the file of noise

Hey guys,

I've got a request, but I'm not sure if these are the right forums to come asking. If they aren't, please point me in the right direction, because Google did not.

There is a particular audio file I have of an old song that has some damage. It's mainly that annoying crisping sound throughout the song, but it really bothers me because it's such a beautiful song.

m-audio fast track mkII high-pitched noise

Hi to everyone!

I'm getting a bit annoyed by the constant presence of a low high-piched noise every time I plug an instrument to my M-audio fast track mkII. every time I playback audio or use Sonar 8.3.1 to record, I hear this noise which would be bearable if only it DIDN'T get INTO the recordings!

Noise only when playing electric guitar, while recording

I recently bought a Shure sm57 to record my electric guitar amp. Problem is, while I am recording AND playing (so there's sound coming from the amp) there's a bzzzz when I playback what I recorded. When I stop playing (still recording) there's no buzz.
Also, when I record my own voice, there's no buzz at all.
