acoustic guitar pickups sounds faded and quiet

Hey guys, I'm not new to recording and mixing. But I've come across a problem with recording my guitar that's been frustrating the hell out of me.

Okay, so first I'll run off the equipment I'm using: . Acoustic Guitar paired with a Seymour Duncan Woody pickup. . Mixcraft 7 . Behringer U-PHORIA UMC22 audio interface

That's it . Now I'll finally get to my problem.

Guitar circuit mods: Do these cancel each other out?

I have a volume mod to each of my volumes which consists of a 330k resistor and 1000pF cap between the first and second lug. I want to put a capacitor across the pickup to roll off some highs. The capacitor will go from the input lug where the hot lead is to the exact point where the pickup cold lead/ground is.

changing active pickups with some other ?

i have an Esp ltd deluxe, it has two emg 81 active pickups. when i got the guitar it had 10s gauged strings. and the treble tones were pretty high, i use just a vamp2 and a small fender bullet amp (i guess its quite old amp, used bought) i turn all its eq setting to zero and use vamp2 to create sound;

Changing pickups in Ibanez AS83

Hi everyone,
I own a hollow electric Ibanez AS83 guitar. It's maple
front, back and sides. The shape is similar to the 335.
I think, to improve it by replacing the original pickups
to something better. I had in mind Gibson 57 Classic,
or may be Gibson P94s.
Did anyone had any experience with tis guitar ?
Thanks,
Costy.

Question on replacing pickups on a Jazz Bass

I just purchased the Fender Custom 60s pickup set and I'm trying to replace my pickups. I can figure out the wiring fine except for the little plates that the pickups sit on also have a wire soldered to them. One plate has a long metal stem (about 3 inches) coming from the center of the plate.
My questions are:
What do you solder the wires to?
