Matching speaker brands on a PA system

I am a drummer with an electronic kit and am looking for a PA to use for my drums and the rest of the band. I am considering a Bag End P-S18E-I powered subwoofer. My question relates to the speakers. Is it recommended to use the same brand on top? Will there be time-align problems and if so, how do I correct them? Will any brand give good results?

Active speakers for voice and acoustic instruments

I am about to buy a pair of active speakers for our rehearsal studio (18 square metres), mainly for voice and acoustic instruments to come out. (We also have drums, electric bass, sometimes guitar or keyboards but we still don't know if it would be better for all the instruments to come out of the PA speakers). I made a little research and found:

Passive BM6 Speakers and Hafler P4000 Studio Amp

BM6 passive speakers and [1] Hafler P4000 Studio Amplifer. This equipment was used in an Avid Symphony Suite. Absolutely perfect condition. Speakers have wall mounts. New, the speakers were $1800 and the amp was $675

Dude is selling it for $1000 even.

Good deal? Im looking for good speakers and was shopping between BM6a's and Event 2020s.

Monitor speakers and room size... a disheartening dilemma!

I'm putting together a bedroom studio and was at first thinking about getting the KRK V6 MKII's for my near field monitors new at guitar center... Then I saw that I could get a set of legendary Mackie HR-824's used on ebay for about the same price ($700 range). My main reservation is that my room might be too small for speakers of this size.
