Can anyone provide any info on Tweed consoles and whether there was some relation to Neve equipment?

here's a photo of a board described as a "Tweed Neve" any comments?

It looks like some kind of custom Neve...the "switch caps" and knobs look 'Nevesque'...other than that who the fuck knows what it really is. I will say, for a 19 year old kid, he's got some cash!! Nice looking building.

His gear (other than the desk) could use some serious improvements, especially his mic collection...but those things can grow over time.

Nice looking facility!!

The 2" A80 16 track that is "coming" will be a nice match for that board. But the rest of his equipment makes it seem like he got the vintage "bug" a few weeks ago. But if the cash is available, he can have a very nice "vintage studio" - if it remains his goal. 19 year olds tend to change focus periodically.

But back to the original question - is there anything to the "Tweed Neve" or "Neve Tweed" brand name? I'm hoping that its not some horrible translation mistake, where "tweed" has taken on the meaning of "vintage" or "classic" from the Fender tweed connection. Was there a Tweed company?
