Advice on Micing a small folk ensemble
Forums
I'll be engineering a live broadcast in mid-April and I've been debating about what mic setup to use this time. Not sure on the line-up yet, but I'm guessing a couple of guitars, maybe a banjo, including vocals.

Advice for recording a small folk style ensemble
Forums
Hi All,
Firstly, just want to say that there are some great posts going here. I've mainly been an engineer for rock/pop over the years, yet have always appreciated classical music, and I'm looking at using some classical recording techniques to record a few tracks of a group I'm currently working with.

outdoor mic for jazz horn ensemble
Forums
Hi Group -
This is my first post in this section. Tomorrow I'm set to run sound for a high school jazz (horn) ensemble outdoors. I'm planning on using two 57's in a "Y" pattern for the group coverage. Also - another 57 or two for solos.
Am I way off on the "group" mics? Any help appreciated. Thanks!
