Some of you may have seen my previous thread on HHb CD burner reliability.
What unit do you find the best to get for a reasonable buget similar to HHb.
Has anyone tried or got a Fostex?
I suspect that HHb are at the mercy of the failure of components that go to make a buget unit. This may explain differing experiences of reliability.
In the end I suppose it may be the same story for any cheaper unit.
"If you buy cheap, you buy twice!"
Your recommendations please.
Dave.

I've been using the TASCAM CD-RW 5000 for the last several years w/only a few glitches with cheap media.

The CD-RW 2000 is the latest incarnation, but I don't know enough to say for sure, but if it's half the unit the 5000 is, it oughta' be pretty decent.

I've heard mixed reviews on the 750.

Of course the CD-RW402 would be a pretty safe bet, but it's a tad pricey.

YMMV,
