I heard a nasty rumor that the new releases are going to be overly hot. I sure hope not. That would ruin the sound of those old recordings. Anyone in the know about this?

Prediction: Until the baby boomers die (and personally I am trying to put that off as long as possible) the Beatles catalog will be remixed and remastered at every change in technology or audio fashion. This is not a bad thing. No one is making you buy it. I've liked some reissues (e.g. the recent mono remasters) and disliked others. But its all just cool pop songs meant to be listened to over an AM radio while doing a horizontal tango in the back seat of a Country Squire.
As the kids like to say, "it's all good."

re-issues are a big part of our business. I've been party to several re-issues myself. Sometimes they are nice improvements, sometimes they are not. If they want to make them hotter, quieter, stereo, mono etc... Great, as long as they keep re-releasing them. I like hearing the difference myself, even if they aren't an improvement.
You have to do something when you re-release the same tunes ever
You have to do something when you re-release the same tunes every other year as "remastered." I just shake my head every time one of these comes out.
