Hey all. I am very new to the world of recording, but have been wanting to get into this my entire life. I just purchased my first setup, which is very minimal: MBox2, PT LE, Behringer Eurorack UB1202, Yamaha EMX 66m powered mixer (needed a PA for the band, this seems to double well by running the tape out of this to the tape in of the Behringer), 10 Cheap Nady mics and an MXL 990 condenser. I am just learning the trade, but would like to make a living of it one day (I'm only 22, i think i've got some time to improve), and will hopefully start charging a few of my friends for my services in the coming months. Below is my first recording project ever, I think it came out well, all things considered. The two main guitar tracks, bass, and drums were all mixed through the Behringer and then out to Pro Tools in stereo, so I know the quality could be upped there, and the vocals were done rather quickly (these guys are punk rockers, not studio musicians, they hear one good take and call it a day!). I know this isn't exactly up to par with what I think I could do, but please, have a listen and give me some pointers. I need all the advice I can get on everything from tracking to "mastering" to mic placement. Just don't tell me I need new equipment cuz I can't afford it right now, help me work with what I've got.

its not bad. you might wanna try panning. did your record the drums with a mic on everything? you might wanna pan the cymbals and maybe the toms to the sides. also the double tracked guitar parts, pan those too. its good man, great start. better than i can do, but you also have better equipment.
