I've been using the 602 for a kick mic for 3 years now, recently started using a 604 clipped to the bottom rim of floor tom for clapper side, I hardly have to EQ the kick track. I have several engineer friends with the usual arsenal of favorite kick mics....they all borrow the 602 whenever I'm not using it.
Thanks guys, I just bought said mic for our new studio, based purely on the fact that I have am irrational dislike of the D112 (crazy I know) but its good to know I havent bought a dud. :D
