We talk about a lot of mics but CharterOak rarely comes up. Why is that?

I also have the M900s. The reason I haven't talked about them is that they arrived with one faulty microphone and it took 9 months for the lifetime warranty to be authored. During that time I had to go and buy something else.
The warranty was honoured and apparently I got a better level of QC because they moved factories during the process, but I was out-of-mic, for 9 months (they had to be returned as a pair, and were bought new).
So the reason I never talk about them is that I haven't actually had use of them that long. By the time they returned they didn't get the level of usage they deserved.

I do!
I bought a matched pair of their M900-T Small Diaphragm Tube Condensers. Now, mind you, I have a LARGE collection of expensive mics in my studio. These Charter Oaks are wonderful. I've used them on acoustic guitar (spaced pair) and on my 6'10" grand piano (spaced pair) and am absolutely stunned by the results! They seem to couple the warmth you would expect from the tube architecture with unprecedented detail. This combination of warmth & detail is the Holy Grail for recording acoustic instruments, in my opinion.
I was thinking of posting here about these mics and how great they are, thanks for posting this thread!
I do intend to try some of their other mics in the future and would also love to hear from others regarding their experience with this brand.
