I Just bought the audiobox usb by PreSonus, 2 outputs.
I'm realy just starting to record music, and have some trouble geting started and configuring my softwear.
I also baught a mic ( atm410 ) vocal mic, and got Cubase le 4 with my audiobox.
The problem is that i installed Cubase and my audiobox interfase on my pc, but my mic doesnt work in cubase, nothing records when i press record, but on another cheaper program called mixcfraft that i have, it works!
Also, there is a built in mic in the audiobox usb, so even when i try it on mixcfraft, my atm410 doesnt work, its the built in mic that records!
What i would like to know is how to make my mic work in cubase, and how to deactivate the built in mic i guess so it only captures the sound of the better mic (if thats what i need to do )
any help is very welcome :)

Alright, is this your audiobox unit?

Because if it is it does NOT have a built in mic. Most likely you do not have the buses set up correctly. Start with the getting started guide again and re-do every single step. Open a brand new project,(your old one may have saved an inaccurate setting) be certain to use track one in Cubase and channel one on the audiobox.Make sure you have enabled record and monitoring, the small speaker icon next to the record enable, open the mixer and see if you are getting input. Is the blue bar going up and down?

Mod should move this thread to Home, PS, Newbies.

Well then for some reason your computer can't "see" the box or you have a OS conflict. Audiobox won't work with 64 bit Vista for example. First try a different USB cable. Then open my computer and see if you can see the device as a mass storage device. If you post again give specifics on OS and computer because this is most likely the problem.
