with the addition of a unit like the ADA80000

which uses the Lightpipe as an additional 8 inputs and 8 outputs
you don't need the outputs but it is via this lightpipe that the ADA80000 can clock to the internal audio clock of the 002 and PT session

so one ADA80000 and two lightpipe cables
the ADA80000 has Mic pres so you can get started with very little outlay

upgrade to a better A to D converter later
