Have any of you tried the RODE K2 w/ the Sebatron VMP? tube on tube can be overkill, I know. This is definitely for a particular application type of thing...I'm a subtle singer who goes for a definate vintage vibe.

I'd love to hear some soundclips, even if it's another tube mic being grouped with the Sebatron , like the SP T3 (something in this lower/mid price range)

Thanks

i Have booth K2 and the 2000evu. Great aussie stuff! I dont think its overkill with both being tube. Its a great smooth sounding chain. Read the articles by maintiger on where to dial in your K2 and mess around with the sebatron to get the sound your happy with.

Both the machines at once are very flexible and sound great, i recommend both.

HI,

I use the K2 w/ the Seb vmp 4000. It rocks! I'm classically trained and a choral director/ vocal coach by profession as well as a gigging musician. I've done a bunch of recording beginning in college 20 yrs ago and have been very pleased with what several studios have done with my voice, but this is the first signal chain that I own that I'm happy with.
Both the K2 and the Seb can be very subtle or agressive. I haven't heard many people with a problem with either unit and I don't see them being resold very oftern. That should tell you something.

Phil
