Hello, I've been using a Behringer B-1 for recording vocals for the past few years but some time ago, I invested in a RODE NT-1 which had been recommended by many. I'm sure it's an excellent microphone but I am having two regular problems with it.

First, there are 'pops' everywhere - beginning words especially but also in silent parts between lines.

Secondly, the recording levels have to be set much higher than the Behringer to get to a similar level.

I use Sonar Producer 8.5 and a simple Cakewalk UA-25EX interface (phantom power). I have tried different cables with no improvement. Could it be that my PC is not powerful enough? It's an old Dell but it's fine with everything else including instruments.

Any advice welcome, thanks. thumb
