I don't see a problem with this. It has worked well in the past. there's no reason it wouldn't work now. As with all things audio, results are subjective, application dependent and ymmv ...

Best thing is to let your ears guide you ... if it sounds good do it ... and if it doesn't sound good, don't ever do that again.

Sometimes it will work and sometimes it won't. I think the trick is being able to decide whether it works or doesn't work. :D

However, there are times that too many tubes can be bad. Just let your ear be your guide. There's even times where its better to just be solid state. Its just whatever is right for that song.

I've been eyeballing an ADK TC mic. And since I just got a Brick preamp, I was wondering if I should pass on this mic. (My AT 4047sv sounds kickass through the Brick)

But I think I'll go for it. Hell, there's always Ebay if I don't dig it. 8-)
