I just stumbled across an AKG BX-20 in very good cosmetic condition. Wear on the edges from moving it around, but no evidence of any big hits or other abuse. I am going to get a chance to listen to it tomorrow. I'll admit NO experience with these things. I have played around with the smaller BX-10, but the BX-20 is about twice the size and orignally cost twice as much, so I'm hoping it sounds better than the BX-10 (and the BX-10 that I heard sounded very cool, a whole different league than the little Orban units or most other rack mount spring units.)
But I have no idea what to look for when evaluating this beast tomorrow. Are there any problem areas to look out for? Anybody out there really know these things?
Thanks,
Steve
