I heard of an older product that Akai used to make called the DP88. It is a 10 i/o digital patchbaywith 8 AES and 2 SPDF. I am trying to find one so if anybody has any info on one, please let me know.

So far yes - very (I got mine second hand) but ask me in a year if it doesn't work in a 96k environment...
