i just bought a g4 and a digidesing 002, i installed everything like i should and when i go to open up pro tools it say the board isn't connected or turned on, and it is plugged in and turned on, will someone pleae help me.
Sorry to hear your probs, best thing to do is go to Digi support at digidesign.com They have a phone number and a user's conference. Come back here when you are up and running. David
yeah, go to digidesign.com,.. click on support,..then click user confrence,.. scroll down about half way down to the: Pro Tools LE for Mac: Digi 002 - Digi 001 - Mbox - ToolBox selection, and register with your 002 serial number...the DUC will be able to get you up and runnin real quick (lots of traffic over there) and like Doc says, then come on back.
There is a production problem with the 002s. I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the defective one and I have not had any problems since. Also, make sure that you are using a Digidesign approved firewire card. Not all FW cards will work with the 002.
