I'm trying to decide on an orchestral library without spending much more than 1K. I'm down to SSL, GOS, and VSL Opus 1. Any thoughts? I've been having an especially hard time getting opinion/reviews on Opus 1. I know it's larger counterpart (VSL) has kind of become the grandaddy of them all, but info on Opus 1 is a bit more scarce. I'm running Giga 2.5 on a dedicated machine with plenty of processor, hard drive, and RAM.

I have a similar setup. I use GOS myself for film music mostly and also for backing tracks. I think you will be happy with any of the libraries you have mentioned.
I'm assuming by SSL you mean Sonic Implants Strings? These sound great and are easier to get a 'hollywood' sound out of the box if that is what you're after.
Also I believe that Opus 1 offers more than just strings as opposed to GOS and SISS. This may be something for you to consider.
