OK, so I figured that since I have it on my computer I might as well make use of it. I accidentally deleted the 'license control center' that came with the program because I didn't know what it was. I thought it was spyware or something. Apparently I needed the info there because it contained the key to registering Cubase.
I tried putting in the CD and re-installing but my computer's HD is messed up and it won't install correctly, it says the destination folder could not be created. I am going to bring it to be repaired in the near future but is there any way that I can get Cubase working before I do that?

I can't remeber it has been years since I installed it but are there any numbers on the packaging that Steinberg can trace or does Presonus have anyway to track it from the serial no. on your interface. I know you purchased it with the firebox just so noone thinks this is a how to crack thread.

Try to completely uninstall it and make sure there are no files left. Delete them manually if necessary. Then try to install it again.

You can try just downloading and installing the latest version of the Syncrosoft licenser software thingy:

Apparently you may get in trouble if you have virus scanning software, spyware scanning software, etc., running in the background (they may try to block the install process). So you could try disabling all that kind of stuff, and disconnecting from the internet of course, when installing it.
