I have Cubase Sl on Pc.

I just purchased loops over the internet called "Platnium Loops."

All I want to do is be able hear what the sample sounds like Looped.

So far what I have been doing is recording the loops off the computer to a mini disk player and then recording the audio to Cubase (all done in real time audio).

I then have to scisscor clip the samples on Cubase and then reapeat them. This trial and error approch I know is primitive, and I want to find out how to easily hear what the loops sound like looped.
Is this possible?

Import a loop into cubase using the Import audio function, set the left and right markers to match the loop make sure the loop button is on and hit play.

It helps if you know the tempo of the loop to begin with, usually loops are a certain number of bars (typically 4 or 8) and then you know that selecting the left marker at 1 and the right marker at 4 and making sure looping is on and press play.

It is rumoured that Cubase 4 will include a loop auditioning window...
