Well I've been taking a break from recording others to record the band I'm in. I kinda like this tune, let me know what you think mixwise and songwise

On the guitar in the right side I would have liked some more reverb during the ska/calypso/reggae-esque sections- it decays a little abrupt for me. Cool tune - not sure I'd go with that bridge at 5:38 -- a little too heavy and thematic on it's own for this song (It remonded me of the thematics in a few Silverchair songs from their first two albums - very strong) -- I'd like to see it end with a breezy touch.

Thought it was really well put together - enjoyed the guitar work. Started off great - dual guitars -- almost Black Croweish - The sun, the sand, the liquor - then a little bit of the rough --- pretty cool.

Good song! I really enjoyed it. I have a question for Donny and steppingonmars. Donny I agree that the vocals may be buried a bit. I can hear them clearly and understand the vocals, but they seem a little flat or stale. Maybe that is a little harsh, no offense meant, I'm just trying to best describe what I hear and I am trying to become a better mixer myself. I was wondering Donny what could be done in your opinion to help bring out the vocals? And stepping, what did you do to the vocals as for processing? Just curious.
