I need to buy a line driver thing that will go from -10 TS to 4+ XLR. I've seen a bunch that are TS to TRS or RCA to XLR or RCA to TRS but it would be REALLY nice to not have to resolder all my cables. Oh yeah I need 8 channels.
Peavey used to make a very good one in 8 channels. I believe the price new was about $300. Check Ebay and others for used. Also Fostex and TASCAM built similar models :p
The Behringer Ultralinkā¢ MX822 should do the trick. It's 8 channel as well. Right now I'm using a Roll Promatch to go out of my laptop to a EXT input to the console, but this is a different appilcation than I think you'll be using it for. Pep the link & check the spec sheet. (note: I endorse Behringer gear, the mods ask me to mention that)
I want to thank the mods for asking e-cue to mention that he endorses behringer. Not to discount anything that e-cue's saying by any means, it's just nice to know where people are coming from.
