C++ / Java Software Developer

C++ and/or Java Software Developer with academic or commercial experience in the development of systems in C++ and/or Java is required by our Cornwall based client, a highly respected and renowned manufacturer of state of the art digital mixing products. Working with their established and growing research and development team you will develop and test software for their next generation of professional audio hardware, this will include:

• Producing specifications / developing prototype code.
• Developing software to a high standard.
• Testing, debugging and documenting code methodically.
• Developing software features for new and existing products.

To be considered you will have a Degree or HND in Electronics / Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent knowledge combined with commercial or academic C++ / Java development experience including:

· C++ and/or Java Programming.
· GUI design.
· OO Software analysis & design.

In addition to C++ / Java development skills, any experience of the following would be a bonus:

· Qt and/or Java Swing.
· Multi-platform Development.
· Understanding of Linux / Mac.
· Understanding of networks.
· Understanding of audio concepts.
· Basic electronic skills (soldering, use of oscilloscopes, etc.).

In addition to the C++ / Java development skills, the successful developer with be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work as part of a team and on self-directed project work. They will be able to use own initiative and enjoy problem solving. The C++/Java developer will also have good communication skills possessing the ability to liaise with personnel at all levels. They will also be able to demonstrate a dedicated and flexible approach to working hours.

C++ / Java Developers with demonstrable interest or experience in professional audio or the music industry are especially welcome. Applications from junior developers, graduates and those with proven commercial experience are invited to apply.
