Hey a just bought a Teac A-4010S and i need some help with it. The 'Record Select' button either dont work or somethings no plugged in or i dont know. Because when you press them the red lights that would say that one was selected dont turn on. Does anyone know why this could be. And another question does anyone know where i could buy a rubber knob that holds the reels on, i need just one. Thanks

Get out the phone book and start calling electronics repair replaces. If and when you find one that still does R-2-R decks, have him fix and calibrate it. I wouldn't get my hopes up. Mabe teac still will service it.

I can't say for sure but a lot of the old Teacs don't have lights that activate when the machine is placed in record ready ... On my 3340 I have to engage the record button before the lamps light up ...
