What the heck is the switch on the left side of the ON led for? There is no marking. I just got it and haven't had a chance to hook the sucker up yet, but I'm real curious to know what that is ...it's not even in the manual.
That's a ' Meter Pad ' switch . It has three different settings so you can align the meters on the vmp - 2000e VU to the gear you've got it plugged in to .
It doesn't necessarily reflect the dynamic range of the unit..... it's more of an indication of the output of the unit.
ah shit, is that what it is. So if my vu meter is running really low and my recording program is running really hot will flicking that switch put the two kind of in sync?
